Nintendo expecting higher profits on strong sales
Japan based maker of Videogaming consoles Nintendo has raised its net profit forecast by one-fifth for the year to March.
The company is noticing real strong demand for their Nintendo DS Lite gaming device and a weaker yen is also helping their cause.
Nintendo has now predicted a net profit of 100 billion yen. This is up from 83 billion yen previously projected and slightly better than the last years 98.4 billion.
They are also due to launch the much-awaited Nintendo Wii gaming console in November this year. And that gaming console is expected to further boost the sales for them.
Nintendo is already the dominating player in the portable gaming machines. And now they are trying to reclaim the glory of olden days by targeting Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with Nintendo Wii.
