Nintendo aims at selling 4 million consoles by the year-end

Nintendo is aiming big with their Nintendo Wii gaming console. The company has revealed that they are targeting at sales of around 4 million units by the end of this year.

Nintendo Wii is due to launch the Wii gaming console in November and they would be taking the full advantage of the upcoming holiday season in all the major markets around the world.

The largest allotment of the Wii gaming console is for the North American market and this is where the huge numbers are expected from.

Nintendo added that they are working hard on ensuring that enough consoles would be available in all the major markets at launch time.

Sony is also due to launch their Playstation 3 console in November but they just would have around 400,000 units at the launch time. They would also not be launching this console in Europe this year.
