Activision collaborates with Valve Software for digital distribution service
Videogame developers Activision has announced that they are now collaborating with Valve Software Company to digitally distribute their games on the internet.
The company plans to start with four of its titles being made available through the Steam digital distribution service.
These four titles would be launched through Valve by the end of October. The games are Call of Duty, COD 2, COD United Offensive and Gun.
Activision executive Dave Anderson spoke on this new development: “Our agreement with Steam enhances our current online distribution model by allowing us to bring our games to the broadest possible audience. As broadband penetration continues to grow worldwide, offering our titles digitally to the millions of gamers connected through Steam makes sense to us.”
