Sony to provide replacements for dead Playstation 3 Sixaxis controller
Sony recently revealed that the Sixaxis controllers of the upcoming Playstation 3 gaming console would not offer replaceable batteries.
This led to concerns in the gamers mind on what would happen when the batteries in these controllers die down.
Sony has now responded and said that it would offer an exchange program for the controller’s “when and if” the batteries died.
The company added that latest generation of Lithium Polymer batteries hardly suffer any memory effect at all, so it will be many years before there is any degradation in terms of battery performance.
However, they did not give any detail on such a possible replacement program. There are no details available on how much it might cost the owners of PS3 to get their controllers replaced.
