Microsoft claims 6 million Xbox 360 shipped worldwide
Microsoft became the first of the three players to launch a next generation gaming console when they released the Xbox 360 last year.
The company would now take on Sony’s Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii consoles both of which go on sale next month.
In the meantime, Microsoft has said that they have sold more than 6 million units of the Xbox 360 since the launch worldwide.
Microsoft added that its entertainment and devices division that includes the Xbox business trimmed its first-quarter loss to $96 million from $173 million a year earlier.
The company added that they are aiming to touch sales of 10 million console units by the end of the year.
