Europe would get 27 Nintendo Wii titles this year

Nintendo is due to launch their Wii gaming console in the major world markets this month. And the company has now revealed that 27 Wii games will be released in Europe by the end of the year.

An additional 31 retro titles would be available via the Virtual Console service.

Europe would get the Wii console on December 8 and it would be launched along with first-party titles such as Wii Sports, Wii Play and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Electronic Arts has said that their launch title for the Wii console would be Madden NFL 07 and Need for Speed Carbon. THQ would be launching Cars, Barnyard and Spongebob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab.

Activision is going to provide gaming titles like Call of Duty 3, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam. Midway would be launching Happy Feet and Rampage: Total Destruction. Sega would have on offer one title Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. System 3 would release Gottlieb Pinball Classics and Super Fruit Fall.

Ubisoft is likely to dominate the launch period with as many as eight titles slated for release – Blazing Angels, Far Cry Vengeance, GT Pro Series, Monster 4×4 World Circuit, Open Season, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Red Steel and Splinter Cell: Double Agent.
