Microsoft to launch Xbox 360 in Brazil next month
Microsoft has announced their plans to launch their Xbox 360 gaming console in the Brazilian market next month.
Daniel Cervantes, director of Microsoft’s Latin America games and entertainment division said that the company believes that Brazil would become their biggest market in Latin America for the Xbox 360 in the next five years.
They are already selling the console in neighboring countries including Mexico, Chile and Colombia.
Cervantes added that as many as 500,000 to 600,000 video game consoles are sold annually in Brazil. Market analysts have said that the market is Brazil is as big as for about 11 million game machines.
Cervantes further said: “We’ll be the first major manufacturer to sell a game console in Brazil’s market directly. We believe consumers will respond well to that.”
