Nintendo admits Wii Strap might have issues

Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata said in a statement that they are investigating potential problems with the straps being supplied with the Wii Remote, which secures it with the player’s wrist.

Iwata further said that they are considering raising its sales target for the Wii, which has been a total sellout in all the markets it has been launched in.

Iwata said about the remote strap problems: “We are investigating. Some people are getting a lot more excited than we’d expected. We need to better communicate to people how to deal with Wii as a new form of entertainment.”

They have however not decided on implementing any changes on the design of the strap.

Nintendo Wii is competing with Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 in the world’s videogame console market.
