Microsoft aims at 10 million Xbox 360 shipments by the end of the year
Microsoft has said in a statement that they aim to ship more than 10 million Xbox 360 video game consoles to retailers by the end of the current year.
The company launched the Xbox 360 console last year it had a year’s advantage over the rival consoles Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii.
A company representative said: “This holiday, we expect to have sold in excess of 10 million units worldwide.”
Microsoft had already forecasted shipments of 13 million by 15 million by the end of its 2007 fiscal year that ends June 30.
It is interesting to see that Nintendo itself is aiming at sales touching 4 million units before the end of the year. And they just launched the console last month!
