New gaming consoles still facing shortage in supplies
As the New Year is closing in, more consumers are visiting retail stores hoping to get for themselves one of the two recently launched video gaming consoles.
Sony launched Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo came out with their Wii gaming console last month. The launch was pretty impressive with both consoles selling out completely.
So much so, those gamers are finding it hard to find a new console in the markets due to shortage in their supplies.
Market analysts believe that the problem is likely to continue till March next year.
As a result, more and more shoppers are getting themselves older consoles like the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 2 both of which are easily available.
They are also getting themselves portable consoles like the Nintendo DS Lite and Sony Playstation Portable. Sony is likely to end up being the market leader with dominating sales of their ancient PS2 gaming console.
