Xbox 360 dominated Wii and PS3 in terms of sales this holiday season
Market analysts NPD has said in a report that Microsoft was the chief beneficiary this holiday season with sales of their Xbox 360 gaming consoles dominating the new entrants in the market.
The research company’s preliminary estimates reported that Microsoft sold around 2 million Xbox 360 units in North America from November up until December 25.
In comparison Nintendo managed to sell around 1.8 million units. However, the company had launched the console in the market on November 19.
Sony was the biggest loser during this period considering they failed to satisfy the demand in the market. Sony managed to sell just around 750,000 PlayStation 3 units in this period.
NPD is expected to release official figures sometime this month.
