Microsoft working on Xbox 360 Zephyr edition?
Rumors are in the market claiming that the software giant Microsoft is currently working on the version 2 of their Xbox 360 gaming console which has been codenamed Zephyr.
Gaming website Engadget has managed to get their hands on some pictures of this console and the company is now expected to make an announcement at the upcoming CES 2007.
Microsoft as expected has said that they cannot comment on the rumors in the market. Engadget on their part have reported that this console will make use of the upcoming Xbox 360 processor built on a 65nm process.
The console is also going to feature a built-in HDMI port and a 120GB hard drive.
If this console is really being developed, it would give Xbox 360 the necessary tools to take on the Sony Playstation 3 gaming console in the longer run.
However, it is also going to disappoint a lot of current owners of the Xbox 360 gaming console who would think that the company ripped them off by delaying the launch of a HDMI edition of the Xbox 360.
