Nintendo raises its fiscal year group net profit outlook
Nintendo has been the underdog in the next generation gaming console race and they have shocked the world with the launch of the Wii gaming console which is outselling the biggie Playstation 3 in the world markets.
The company has had so much success with this console that they have now raised their fiscal year group net profit outlook by 20 billion yen.
Nintendo is also benefitting from the ever growing sales of their DS handheld gaming device which is outselling the Sony PSP console in Japan and USA.
The company has now boosted its net profit outlook to 120 billion yen for the current fiscal year ending in March 2007. Nintendo also left unchanged its projection of selling 6 million Wii consoles by the end of March. And they have now raised its Wii software sales forecast to 21 million units from 17 million.
Good days for Nintendo!
