Xbox 360 would soon deliver web content to television
Software giant Microsoft has announced that they would soon add more functionality to their Xbox 360 gaming console. The console would be able to deliver television and movies via the Internet by the end of the year.
This announcement was made at the world’s largest consumer electronics show in front of more than 4000 people in Las Vegas.
Microsoft devices division president Robbie Bach spoke about the potential of their gaming console: “Our goal is to make entertainment more personal, more interactive and more social.”
The IPTV functionality added to the device would enable users to watch television or films on the Internet via Xbox consoles.
Gamers can already buy stuff on the live network on the Microsoft servers. They are selling movies and other gaming media on the Xbox Live store…
