Sony PlayStation 3 just had its worst week of sales
Market research groups have claimed that Sony just had their worst week of sales of the Playstation 3 gaming console since its launch in Japan.
The figures from Media Create claims that the company sold around 25,531 units of the Playstation 3 gaming console for the week ending Jan. 14.
However, the report added that the week was poor for the entire market for newly launched consoles. The total sales of the three consoles (Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3) were around 128,274 units.
This is the worst performing week for these three consoles ever since the Wii was launched in the market making it a three player market.
Nintendo sold around 93,708 units of their Wii console. It was their second worst week of sales since the 85,439 units sold during the week immediately after the Wii’s launch.

Yeah, but what was the availability of the Wii ? It’s still not available in the NYC metro area.

Nintendo sales drop result of controller fad wearing out plus low res graphics too weak compared to the PS3. PS3 scores so many more points over fumbling microsoft xblog360.

I personally think that Sony had a pure sale, Cause they did not have any Games that are using the Ps3 to the fullest. Like the Formula 1 game (release date Feb. 27 )
The information level from Sony is so bad. They need to be there with more information to us customers.
I think it is time for SONY to try a little harder.
