KONAMI ANNOUNCES TRACK & FIELD
Go for the Gold in Ten Different Olympic Events with New Plug and Play Video Game
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – February 2, 2007 – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced Track & Field (working title), an original Plug and Play video game that lets gamers of all ages compete in a virtual decathlon. Using a custom gaming mat, players will only need a television and a competitive spirit to take the gold in ten different world class events.
A Plug and Play video game, Track and Field connects directly to any TV without the use of a game console to deliver hours of competitive fun. Featuring ten different track & field events such as the 100 meter dash, javelin and relays, players can run in place and jump on the gaming mat to recreate the on-screen action as if they were taking part in an actual decathlon. Through a variety of actions that can be performed on the gaming mat, Track and Field immerses players in the competitive atmosphere of world class track & field while also promoting an active lifestyle. Each of the game’s ten events can be played simultaneously with a friend using just one gaming mat.
Track & Field will launch in 2007. For more information, please visit www.konami.com.
