THQ announced that The Punisher has shipped for the PS2, PC, and Xbox. The Punisher is based on Marvel’s antihero, a revenge-driven vigilante from the popular comic book series of the same name, NOT last year’s movie based upon the comic.

In The Punisher, players can terrorize criminals using their own ruthless methods and serve as judge, jury and executioner in a world ruled by corruption. Driven by a hatred of crime bordering on insanity, Frank Castle became “The Punisher”, a lone vigilante whose mission goes far beyond revenge. Taking on the city’s high-powered crime lords, he wreaks havoc on the corrupt with methods normally reserved for those on the wrong side of the law.
