Sony luring buyers with freebies along with the Playstation 3
Market sources say that the Japanese gaming console maker Sony is now trying to get more people to buy their Playstation 3 console by offering freebies along with the console.
Sony is planning to offer the buyers of the console in Australia, a Blu-ray Disc version of the Sony Pictures James Bond movie “Casino Royale”.
This disc would be offered to the first 20,000 Australian PS3 buyers.
Interestingly, the console is going to be sold in the Australian market for a super hefty price of 999.95 Australian dollars. They are only going to sell the 60GB model here.
Hiroshi Kamide, director of research and game expert at KBC Securities Japan in Tokyo spoke about this news: “They have to sweeten the deal a little bit. The problem with the product so far is that no one has fully understood why it’s so expensive.”
Sony added that the gamers would also be able to download the “GranTurismo” PlayStation 3 software game in Australia.
