Microsoft might showcase its IPTV technology in Europe next month
Microsoft’s UK branch has released details on their plans to showcase their television service in the region sometime next month.
Microsoft is now likely to show off its Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) at The Connected Home show. This would take place at the third annual IPTV World Forum from March 5 to March 7.
The company has already discussed their preliminary IPTV plans at the Consumer Electronics Show. This upcoming demo is likely to give consumers a chance to see what they have in store for us.
Some of the features touted in their package include services like digital video recording, ability to chat over Xbox Live while watching TV programming.
Microsoft’s worldwide director of marketing and communications for Microsoft TV, Mr. Ed Graczyk spoke about their plans: “Separately the Xbox 360 and Microsoft TV IPTV Edition deliver unique and exciting entertainment experiences, but IPTV on Xbox 360 delivers a real value proposition for consumers, service providers and content and game developers alike. By integrating these industry-leading solutions, we continue to drive innovation and enable new connected entertainment experiences for consumers.”
