Microsoft to open Live online service to Vista gamers

Software giant Microsoft has said that they would soon open their Live online service to gamers who are on the Vista operating system.

This service would be opened to PC gamers this coming May. The announcement comes around a year after Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates said the company’s vision was for “anywhere” gaming that would link video game consoles, mobile phones and computers.

This would be the first step by the company to reach that milestone. The service launch would coincide with the launch of much awaited Halo 2 game.

Microsoft would also be releasing Shadowrun in June. This would be first game from the company to support competition between players on the Xbox 360 and PCs.

Live service members would need a single account for both these devices. They would be able to access the service from both their Xbox 360 console and the personal computer.
