Halo 3 to have three separate versions

Xbox 360 maker Microsoft has confirmed that they would be releasing the Halo 3 game in three separate editions. Looks like the company has got inspiration from the zillion Vista editions they have already released in the market.

One of these three editions would be Legendary Edition supposed to come in a Master Chief helmet.

The game would be in stores this fall. The top end Legendary Edition would cost around $129.99 and would be offered in limited numbers. Buyers would also get a collection of storyboard art from artist Lee Wilson.

This edition would also come with a pair of supplementary DVDs. one of the discs would have the background to the development process in the form of behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the game and Bungie Studios. It would also include an audio-and-video-calibration utility to maximize home theater performance. A second disc in this package would include remastered cinematics from the first two Halo games, along with commentary from the Bungie team.

The standard edition would retail for a price of USD 59.99. For ten dollars more, gamers would be able to get their hands on the Limited Edition, which will come in a metal case (similar to the collector’s version of Halo 2).
