Microsoft launches PAL version of HD DVD add-on for their Xbox 360
Microsoft has launched the PAL version of its add-on HD DVD drive for their Xbox 360 gaming console. This external drive helps the gamer to get similar capabilities to the Sony’s Playstation 3 gaming console which comes loaded with a Blu-Ray drive.
The HD DVD drive costs around $250 and has been designed to look as a mini 360. It attaches to the Xbox 360 through a USB port. However, it requires its own power supplies.
The drive even features a snap-on mount at the back and the company ships the drive with a Universal Remote in the bundle. The remote is designed to help the gamer control Xbox and most televisions.
Gamers are required to upgrade the firmware of the gaming console to enable the HD DVD functionality.

What is your source for this? There is no reference in your post and I can find no mention of it on the Xbox.com website.
Thanks,

The PAL version’s been out in Europe for yonks – looks like it just made it to Oz. It’s exactly the same box as the US version other than the PAL compatibility.
