Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite to retail in Canada for $549.99
Microsoft has announced their plans for launching their updated Xbox 360 Elite gaming console in the Canadian market.
The company would launch the console in Canada on April 4 and it would be sold in the market for $549.99. This would place it just ahead of the lower end Sony Playstation 3 console which sells for $549. Sony sells the premium edition PS3 in Canada for $659.
The Xbox 360 Elite gaming console from Microsoft features a 120 GB hard drive in addition to the high-definition video interface.
This is the third variant of the Xbox 360 console considering they launched it in the market with 2 models. The base model does not have any kind of storage capacity.
Microsoft believes that the elite edition Xbox 360 would entice those gamers who want to purchase a lot of material from the Xbox Live service.

Actually PS3 premium edition in Canada costs $699…
They actually raised it by $40 for premium and $50 for normal.
I also hate it when they keep coming out with new versions of a system… Xbox360 Elite? wtf? 1337 my ass. It’s ironic that Xbox360 didn’t even last a year from getting raped by h4×0rs and yet they give the title “Elite” to their new version. From the information given here there are only two new things on Xbox360 Elite. Shit, make Xbox Live free instead of making a new version with useless features that PS3 already has… Second thought nvm, even if it is free I don’t want it, probably my account will get hacked within minutes I get on Live.
I rather pay $150 more and get PS3 Premium, which already has built-in WiFi and free online (with FREE ONLINE GAMING) and save lives instead of getting Xbox360 Elite or Xbox360. I hate it when you have to buy additional accessories…
Or get Wii.
I’m not a SONY fanboy… I just hate M$.

what’s the point of HDMI with no HD movie player… wtf..that’s smart MS, you see that everybody is mainly bashing the ps3 for the price, instead of a price drop to really sock it to sony… the elite..what idiots
