Electronic Arts and New Line Cinema extends agreement on Lord of the Rings franchise
Videogame Company Electronic Arts has said that they are extending their collaboration with New Line Cinema to keep on developing games on the Lord of the Rings movies.
The new agreement would last throughout 2008. The company aims to release new titles by next year. David Imhoff, worldwide licensing executive at New Line spoke on this deal: “We have a long history of making great games with EA and are thrilled to extend our long-standing relationship. We look forward to working closely with EA to create even more compelling Lord of the Rings adventures in the future.”
EA has been developing games based on this popular series since 2001. Frank Gibeau, executive vice president of EA North America added: “The Lord of the Rings is an incredible canvas to create epic games. We look forward to our next project with New Line Cinema and Tolkien Enterprises scheduled to ship in 2008.”
