Final Fantasy X-2 game delayed

As the Square empire expands the franchise games also expand. This is such a game. Final Fantasy X-2 is a first ever expansion on a previous Final Fantasy game. You guessed it after ten games, this is the first true and direct sequel to another Final Fantasy game, but Square was smart about it and altered the numbering system to make this seem more or less like a side quest game to the world of Spira.

However, Wada said that starting April 1, Square Enix will release a new game every month. April 1 marks the two-year anniversary of the merger between Square Co. Ltd. and Enix Corporation. Wada said the monthly schedule will let Square Enix continue updating its franchises, which include Dragon Quest and Star Ocean. He added that Final Fantasy X-2 release date will be chosen to ensure its sales won’t compete with those of Square Enix’s other top sellers.

With the game being a first ever direct sequel to an RPG from Square, this game does little in character introduction. We already know Yuna and we all have a secret crush on Rikku. However these are the only playable characters that were in the previous game. Sure, Wakka, Lulu, and Kimhari all make appearances. Paine is the mysterious person of the group, as she has no relation to anything that has to do with Final Fantasy X. But that doesn’t matter, because she is a direct opposite from Rikku and Yuna who almost turn this into a Crazy J-pop based game.

Square Enix also plans to boost its worldwide sales. Currently, about 30 percent of the game sales take place outside of Japan. Wada told Bloomberg that he hopes to increase that number to more than 50 percent. He added that the game is considering a variety of tactics to achieve that goal, including strengthening its foreign sales network and acquiring other companies.
