Sega signs on a deal with Marvel Entertainment

Videogame publisher Sega has announced that they have signed on exclusive multiyear deals with the Marvel Entertainment.

This brings some exclusive superheroes including Captain America, the Incredible Hulk and Thor to its stable. The company had previously signed on a deal with marvel to bring Marvel’s “Iron Man” to console, handheld and PC game platforms.

This game release is going to complement the May 2008 movie featuring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Terrence Howard.

The expanded deal would allow Sega to make games which are connected to the movies and comic books based on these superheroes.

Simon Jeffery, president and COO of Sega of America said in a statement on this new deal: “It’s a collaborative process. We work closely with Marvel Studios, with (’Iron Man’ director) Jon Favreau and with the design and FX teams. It is vital that the game feels like the movie; it is being designed primarily on the next-gen gaming systems.”
