Sony PlayStation Network has more than 1.3 million users worldwide
Japanese videogame console maker Sony has claimed that their Playstation Network service now has more than 1.3 million users worldwide.
Sony launched their Playstation 3 gaming console in the US market last year. The PS3 was launched in the European market in March this year.
Sony said that the network currently has around 600,000 users from the North American market. They have sold around 2 million units of their PS3 console in this market.
The company further claimed that they have sold some 3.7 million pieces of content from their Playstation Network.
In comparison Microsoft’s Xbox Live network boasts some 6 million users who have downloaded 25 million Xbox Live Arcade games from Xbox Live Marketplace.
