Microsoft hires Final Fantasy Series Creator

Looking forward to add some real punch to their Xbox range of gaming machine based games; Microsoft has taken an extremely smart decision of hiring Hironobu Sakaguchi. Sakaguchi would be developing two games for the Microsoft’s gaming machine. He is recognized world over as the creator of the famous Final Fantasy series of games.

This should enable Microsoft gain some solid ground in the huge Japanese market as they look forward to compete against Sony’s PlayStation 2 console around the world. Their current range of games and the Xbox console has largely being ignored by the Japanese games used to their Nintendos and PlayStations.

Sony this week released Gran Turismo 4 and now looks forward to concentrate on their recently launched PlayStation Portable gaming device. Fans of the Sony’s Playstations are also looking forward to the PlayStation 3 launch, which would really turn around the market with its next generation cell technology.

Nintendo has largely remained quite about their strategy and are concentrating on their DS handheld device. Coming days are going to be really interesting as two giants of their fields compete with each other to get the attention of the end consumer. The competition between the coming up Xbox 2 and PlayStation 3 would be really interesting to watch!
