Nintendo has started selling their DSi LL handheld gaming console in the Japanese market.

Nintendo DSi LL features a largest display and is aimed at the elderly.

This edition of the Nintendo DS comes with two touch pens and three DSiWare titles pre-installed.

It is also available in three color options: Dark Brown, Wine Red and Natural White.

Nintendo had said that this edition was aimed at gamers who had trouble playing on the smaller screen versions. Though, it is likely to become popular with younger audiences too.

Rumors were true indeed.

It arrives in the market next month.

Nintendo DSi LL would feature a larger display (4.2”).

The company said that this is 93 percent larger compared to the display on the DS Lite edition.

Nintendo has collaborated with Facebook to allow DSi owners to upload their photos from the mobile gaming device to the popular social networking service.

Nintendo DSi comes loaded with two cameras. Photos can be taken by either of these two cameras.

The device also enables the users to manipulate the photos as per their liking.

With Facebook Connect ability, these photos can be uploaded directly to ones Facebook account.

Nintendo has thus become the first videogame console maker to provide simple connectivity to Facebook network.

Incidentally, Microsoft too is working on an integrated service through their Xbox 360 gaming console in the future. Sony PSP GO is also likely to get similar features.

Nintendo Wii continues to sell at the price point at which it was launched.

And the company has now said that there are no plans to cut the prices of their hardware consoles.

Nintendo has just launched their updated DSi handheld gaming console in the US market.

Sony Playstation 3 has finally overtaken the sales of Nintendo Wii in the Japanese market.

Nintendo Co. President Satoru Iwata said that he doesn’t think that price cuts would “make sense” now.

Market sources have revealed that Nintendo DSi is selling in record numbers in the British market.

Reports say that it has now become the 4th fastest-selling game console in UK history.

GfK-ChartTrack’s Chris Poole said in a statement that the only consoles which sold faster than the DSi were PSP, PS3 and Wii.

In fact, Nintendo DSi is selling at a faster pace compared to its predecessor Nintendo DS.

Reports say that the Japanese videogame console maker managed to sell 92,000 units in the first two days after launch.

Japanese videogame console maker Nintendo has officially confirmed that Nintendo DSi would be launched in the US market in April this year.

Market rumors had already pointed out the launch date and it has now been confirmed.

Wii Play has seen sales of 20.91 units. Wii Fit is also hugely popular with 14.01 million units sold worldwide.

Nintendo DS games have also sold in major numbers. Nintendogs has seen sales of 21.67 million units.
